Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use this application and any related services.
1. Information Collected
The application may collect or process the following types of information, depending on the features used.
a. Information Provided by You
You may enter information such as financial data, expense details, budget information, preferences, or other content directly into the application. This information is stored on your device, and — only if you choose to sign in (see Section 3) — backed up to your private cloud account.
b. Device and Usage Information
Certain technical information may be collected automatically by the operating system, third-party services, or integrated SDKs, such as:
- device type
- operating system version
- app version
- language settings
- crash logs
- diagnostic information
c. Advertising Data
The application displays ads through Google AdMob. Advertising partners may collect device identifiers (including your device's advertising ID), approximate location, usage data, and ad interaction data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
2. Notification Access & Automatic Expense Capture (Android)
The application includes an optional "auto-capture" feature that is turned off by default. It is provided to make expense tracking easier and is entirely under your control.
- If you turn it on and grant Android notification access, the app reads notifications only from the specific apps you select (for example, your bank or wallet app) in order to detect a transaction's amount and merchant.
- All processing happens on your device. The detected details are used to pre-fill an expense that you review and confirm before anything is saved.
- Raw notification content is not stored and is never uploaded to any server. Only the expense you confirm is saved (locally, and to your cloud account if you are signed in).
- You can disable the feature in the app's Settings at any time, or revoke notification access in your device settings. Disabling it stops all reading immediately.
3. Google Sign-In & Cloud Backup (optional)
Signing in with Google is optional. If you sign in, your budget data (expenses, categories, salary and savings settings, and merchant-to-category preferences) is stored in your private cloud account using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) so that you can back it up and sync it across your devices.
- Your Google account name and email are used only to identify your account.
- Your data is encrypted in transit.
- You can stop syncing by signing out, and you can request deletion of your cloud data at any time (see Sections 8 and 13). Data is not shared with third parties.
4. How Information Is Used
Information may be used to:
- provide and maintain app functionality
- save and display your data within the app
- back up and sync your data across devices, if you sign in
- pre-fill expenses from notifications you allow, if auto-capture is enabled
- improve app performance and stability
- diagnose crashes and technical issues
- serve advertisements
- comply with legal obligations
5. Data Storage
Data entered into the application is stored locally on your device. If you sign in, it is also stored in your private Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) account for backup and sync. Some third-party services may process limited technical data as required for functionality or advertising.
6. Data Sharing
Information is not sold to third parties.
Information may be shared only in the following cases:
- with service providers that support app functionality (Google Firebase for authentication and cloud storage)
- with advertising partners (Google AdMob), which may receive your advertising ID to serve and measure ads
- when required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request
- to protect rights, safety, security, or prevent fraud
7. Third-Party Services
The application uses the following third-party services:
- Google Firebase Authentication (Google sign-in)
- Google Firebase Cloud Firestore (cloud backup and sync)
- Google AdMob (advertising)
These third parties may collect or process information according to their own privacy policies. You should review their privacy policies separately where applicable.
8. Advertising
The application displays ads through Google AdMob. Advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers, or similar technologies to show and measure ads. This may include personalized or non-personalized advertising depending on your device settings, location, and applicable laws. You can limit ad personalization or reset your advertising ID in your device settings.
9. Data Retention
Data may be retained for as long as necessary to provide app functionality, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Locally stored app data may remain on your device until you remove it or uninstall the application. Cloud data is retained until you delete it or request its deletion.
10. Your Choices
Depending on your device, region, and applicable law, you may be able to:
- delete app data from your device or reset the app
- sign out to stop cloud sync, and request deletion of your cloud data
- enable or disable auto-capture, and revoke notification access, in Settings or device settings
- uninstall the application
- limit ad personalization or reset your advertising ID through device settings
- manage permissions through device settings
11. Security
Reasonable measures are taken to protect information, including encryption of cloud data in transit, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
12. Children’s Privacy
The application is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
13. International Users
If you use the application from outside the country where services are operated, your information may be processed in other countries where data protection laws may differ.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the Effective Date above. Continued use of the application after changes become effective means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
